Ripley's features are about "The Four Men Of Munich," the bat-boy of the Yankees, "The Saga Of Charles Dodgson and Alice Lidell" (and how "Alice In Wonderland" came to be written), Dr. A.S.W. Rosenbach recalls his purchase of the story's manuscript. Ripley announces that he's leaving the air to go on "vacation" and the cast sings, "Auld Lang Syne." Ripley did leave the air until March 31, 1939. This was his last show on NBC for almost ten years. The program is being replaced by, "Al Pearce and His Gang." |
