As one of radio’s earliest children’s serials, The Adventures of Sonny and Buddy” was actually a family affair. The boys, Sonny and Buddy, were played by real life brothers Jack and Sam Edwards. Mother Edna wrote the scripts and father Jack Sr. voiced most of the adult male roles. The story revolves around the boys running away for home and travelling with a medicine show.
