Claudia was an old-time radio drama show depicting the joys and challenges faced by newlyweds. The topics discussed include anything that can affect the married couple’s lives. The original stars of the show were Patricia Ryan, who took the role of Claudia, opposite Ryan Kollmar, who played as her husband David. Both characters were created by Rose Franken, a well-known author of newlywed stories in the 1930s. The show was said to be an excellent depiction of a typical American household during those times.

Claudia is my fave. Its complete and in master quality which is rare. I was so sad when I reached the last and very touching episode... I immediately started it again from scratch You're. Right in that it sounds current. I wonder if the leading couple are still alive? I love their voices and fabulous chemistry

So I have decided to start binge-listening to Claudia. I often check mentions of programs in local radio listing and was surprised not to find it in my local Los Angeles market. I would think that Coca-Cola or their agency would not have any trouble placing a show here.

Featuring the popular serial drama that was based on the literary works of Rose Franken, a writer, novelist, playwright, and theatrical director who had first written about the Naughton's in the mid-1930s. By the end of the decade, the highly popular short stories had been brought together into a series of best-selling novels which, in 1941, were adapted by Franken into a Broadway play. "Claudia," which opened at the Booth Theater on February 12, 1941, starred Donald Cook as David and a young actress named Dorothy McGuire. The series told the tale of Claudia and David Naughton, newlyweds, just beginning their married life. Young, enthusiastic, and very much in love, they weren't suffering from any medical maladies or suspicions of infidelity. Instead, they were simply facing the many challenges of any new marriage - finding an apartment, getting used to each other's quirks, and learning to live together on a daily basis.
