At this point Alexander rang the door bell and Sally told Cecil not to answer as it was probably the widow Mason. The scene now is the same, with Alexander outside and Sally holding the fort. Here we go." Closing announcement: "Nobody but Sally would ever attempt to explain a situation like that." That doorbell keeps ringing. Sally tries to keep Cecil from finding out that it's Alexander.
