Many may remember E.G. Marshall (later Tammy Grimes) introducing this relatively modern CBS radio show . The brainchild of Himan Brown (who guided Inner Sanctum), CBS in allowed Mr. Brown to relive the days of thrilling radio for an hour a full seven nights a week! The late E.G. Marshall hosted the program every year but the final one, when actress Tammy Grimes took over.
The mixed cast of television and radio stars offer a range of stories from the pens of the great writers, as well as offering new tales of mystery and imagination. Rarely performed tales by Mark Twain and O. Henry and classic radio tales by Edgar Allen Poe were featured. Click here to read more about Cbs Radio Mystery Theater- Radio Shows
