| Plot | : | + "Back For Christmas". A botany professor digging a "Devil's Garden" in the basement, decides to kill his wife and bury her in it. A university lecture is down in his cellar digging up the floor when his nagging wife catches him. She asks him what he's doing and he explains that he is planting some rare flowers called "Devil Orchids". She nags him about his barber's appointment and their impending trip to America. He has no option but to do as he is told - as usual. On his way back from the barbers he calls into his favorite old bookshop and gets talking to a rather appealing young lady. One thing leads to another and before long the professor is contemplating murder. + This time we escape to a university town in England, to a household riddled with hatred. Herbert Carpenter and his wife Herminie are to travel to America the next day and Herminie is badgering Herbert again to sort out his arrangements for America whilst he is busy planting "devil's garden" in his cellar… |
