Spoiler : This is radio drama at its absolute best! A classic story and excellent script, outstanding performances, brilliant direction, magnificent sound design- one of the single finest broadcasts I've ever heard and I listen to a LOT of OTR!

Spoiler : Just read the original story by Joseph Conrad, and I have to say that it makes me even more impressed by this radio adaptation. The subtle changes that writer Les Crutchfield made to the focus of the story and narration, the fleshing out of characters, and the omissions chosen are so creative and brilliant. Any writer interested in writing for dramatic podcasts or radio plays would be well-served to read Conrad's story, then listen to this broadcast to fully appreciate what a work of art this adaptation is.
