M. (EST) next week. The script was also used on "The Sealed Book" on April 29, 1945 (see cat. #1534). + Vivian and Phillip have been married for 3 months and now she is leaving him for another man. Things become heated as Phillip tries to convince her to stay but she is laughing at him. He pulls a gun and threatens her, "If I can't have you, no-one else will" and shoots her. Roger, Vivian's brother, who was in another room, hears the shot and runs out. He does not want Phillip to be prosecuted for the murder so he plans to get rid of the body and the gun. Will they get away with it? + The tale begins with the Mysterious Traveler... "Some years ago, when I was a county coroner, I was called in on a most interesting case. A case which had begun in the country home of Philip Drake, the wealthy stockbroker." Philip's wife, Vivian, is upstairs packing her bags and is going to leave him. Even though her husband loves her dearly, she is convinced that their marriage of just three months was a mistake, and has found another lover. But Philip won't let her go. If he can't have her, well, nobody else will either! |
