| Plot | : | Nature has its own way of leveling things out, just like the repeating cycles of the seasons. A couple commits robbery and takes a detour away from the main road. They plan to stay in an abandoned house until the end of summer so that the rain can come and help them make a clean getaway. As they're driving along, they notice a hitchhiker, they try to ignore it but they keep on seeing the person over and over again. The story begins with Noah and Madeleine, a couple on the run from the cops. They're heading up to the California mountains, when Noah remembers a canyon, with a house right up on the hills - a place he'd used to call Shangri-La years back - so they decide to head there to hide out. They need to hide, since their trunk is filled with two blood covered suitcases, full of someone else's money... |
