| Plot | : | Abe has been away from his home for a very long time. He misses a lot of places in his town but most of all he misses Annie. He always tells himself that he will write back to her but he never did. It's now time for him to come home but he doesn't know how to face Annie because he did not write. In order to show that he hasn't forgotten her, he decides to buy her a valentine. But will this gift be enough to cover the emotion and memory that was taken for granted? I never go far away from here. It is restful, and I think I have earned my rest. I have been on a long journey, but my work was finished a long time ago, and so here I am, where I can rest. Here, where all of the little towns are above the river, with their cobbled stones going down to the steamboat landings. Sometimes I walk for a while, and it is then, when I remember... I remember my valentine, and I hear her voice, and I remember my sorrows... |
