An actress finds herself in need of a quick alibi after the playwright of the drama in which she's performing is found murdered. The system cue has been deleted. The story was previously produced on "Suspense" on December 28, 1944. + Father Benson has been to see Miss Tremayne once a week for the last nine years. After she left the stage she spent three years in a mental institution and now she lives alone apart from one servant. She has never left the house and has seen no one but the vicar on his weekly visits and today the vicar is taking his new Curate to meet her. She supposes he must have heard all the wild tales of her lurid past but insists that he hear the truth from her, as he will one day be vicar. |
