Plot | : | + "Footfalls". Sponsored by: Roma Wines. A good story about a blind cobbler and his no-good son who refuses to work. J. Carroll Naish is excellent with a Portuguese dialect. The story has a good surprise ending. + Bowes is a blind man who worked as a shoemaker and had been too easy on his weak son Manuel since his mother died. Despite his blindness Bowes could tell about a person by the sound of his footstep. One day a bank clerk came to lodge with him and brought some gold home for safekeeping and Manuel overhears him telling his father this. Later there is a fire and a body is found but it is no accident it appears to be murder. |
