Cars were few and far between so George was relieved when a black sedan pulled up. The two men got to talking and realized that they had something in common – they looked identical. When George found that the man was going to visit his rich Aunt he had an idea ... a wicked idea that would not be good for anyone’s health, but his own. + It was August and it was hot when George Sharples was hitchhiking across the Arizona desert heading for LA. He had walked about 8 miles and he was tired when finally a black sedan pulls up. John Brailley wasn’t going to stop but what changed his mind was that it struck him that Sharples looked like him.
