For the last month he had been staying up late in his study writing and but when he came up early in the morning he looked like someone who had undergone a terrible ordeal. Hazel was worried that whatever it was, was going to kill him. Simon Templar has a visit from a writer who needs some advice. He’s writing a book about murder, the story of a perfect crime. He wants Templar to tell him if the murder his book deals with is really a perfect crime. The man he’s writing about in his book, a completely fictitious character of course, suffers from heart disease and is a completely unpleasant character, a financier and a crooked one, a man who deserves to die. |
