He achieved this by killing his partner, the inventor of the automobile air conditioner that had made him rich. The dead partner, now known in the morgue as "John Doe #9," returns to visit his old partner. Harden Wilgen and Stanley Creighton had invented a unit to cool the motor engine of a car that would make them millionaires. But Harden Wilgen had no intention of sharing any of the money with Creighton. Once Wilgen was sure the invention was perfect he poisoned Creighton and disposed of his body in the river after first being sure there was no way of identifying the body. |
