Delbert’s mind wasn’t on his work but then it really didn’t have to be as assistant director to the curator of the museum he knew his field. He’d conducted this lecture so many times during the past 15 years that it was automatic. But Delbert’s mind was elsewhere and as he talked he was in a kind of daydream. A dream that someday he would be curator and that Louise Francis would look upon him as somebody. It had been that way every since the day she came to work as secretary to the curator Dr Prescot. |
