Sam Baxter was serious this time, deadly serious. Irene could tell it by the nervous habit he had of blinking his cold grey heartless eyes stabbing at her now as she sat in the chair across the room. It was like Sam she told her self to tackle it this way, to sit there silently for minutes on end and let the silence work for him. She was almost ready to scream when he finally spoke to bar her from the casino and tell her to get out of town... |
