The Al Jolson Show was a musical variety show on NBC and CBS. It went on-air on 1932, and ended in 1949. The star of the show was no less than Al Jolson, an extremely popular radio personality at the time the show was broadcast. He was also famous as a comedian and singer during the Golden Age of Radio. His status as a radio star paved way for him to be a frequent guest on other successful radio variety shows back then. Jolson, in fact, became known as "The World's Greatest Entertainer."
