The Big Band Swing Era which helped to define the soundtrack of the War Years was just getting started in the early 1930s. The most influential acts, outfits like the Dorsey Brothers, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller were based “back East” or in the MidWest. On the West Coast, Anson Weeks was burning up the airwaves. Most of his broadcasts from the early 30s were San Francisco area remotes which would get your feet moving!
