The Bing Crosby Chesterfield Show was a 15-minute music and dance show that first aired in 1939. Formerly called “The Chesterfield Show,” Crosby’s name started to be included in the title after he signed up as the show’s host in 1949. The show featured the Glenn Miller Orchestra as its regular performer, and also some popular singers during that time as guests. Fred Astaire, Fred Allen, Judy Garland, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, and Jimmy Stewart were some of the show’s guest performers.
Even after the show’s main sponsor Chesterfield Cigarettes bowed out, the show continued to air because of the sponsorship from General Electric. Click here to read more about Bing Crosby - Chesterfield Show
