Plot | : | + Program #69. AFRS origination. The program was recorded on the above date, released during the summer of 1943. The show features lots of soldier's names, using G. I. nicknames. One of the soldiers requests the sound of a beer bottle being opened. The first tune is, "Four Or Five Times." Freeman and Gosden appear as, "Amos 'n' Andy." Jose Iturbi plays, "Fantasy Impromptu" and then is given a piano lesson by Andy. A similar script was used on, "The Amos 'n' Andy Show" on October 5, 1943 (see cat. #57305). and on "Christmas Reunion" December 25, 1943 (see cat. #91691).
