Title | : | command performance (015) national association of broadcasters show |
Air Date | : | 05.13.1942 |
Plot | : | + Program #15. AFRS origination. The program originates from the convetion of the National Association Of Broadcasters at The Carter Hotel, Cleveland. Eddie Peabody starts the show with a medley that starts with, "Sweet Sue" (and is spectacular as usual). Tommy Riggs loses his place in the script during his "Betty Lou" routine. Mitzi imitates Katherine Hepburn, Greta Garbo and Fanny Brice (as is great!). Jolson announces that he is soon leaving for Trinidad. He then does a comedy routine with Marlene, tells some jokes and sings, "Swanee" and "Mammy." A memorable show! |
