Mischa Auer tells his life story with what sounds like Martha Raye adding her comments. An assembled show with performances from other AFRS shows are featured with introductions by Ken Carpenter. The recording date above is subject to correction. Ken Carpenter is today's Master of Ceremonies, who opens the show by introducing the beautiful Mexican actress Miss Lina Romay who sings Chiu Chiu. She is followed by a comic performance from Beatrice Kay who sings The Curse of an Aching Heart. Next up is a real treat - an all-star American jam session between Tommy Dorsey (trombone), Count Basie (piano), Buddy Rich (drums), Illinois Jacquet (tenor sax), Lionel Hampton (vibraphone), Artie Shaw (clarinet), Ed McKinney (bass), Ziggy Elman (trumpet), and Les Paul (guitar), playing the swing classic, Honeysuckle Rose.
