Spoiler : By the late 1960s, when this set of programs was released, the SERENADE IN BLUE series had been released to radio stations for over 15 years. This series of programs had Lieutenant Colonel Arnald D. Gabriel conducting the Air Force Band. Chief Warrant Officer Bob Bunton is the director of the vocal group, The Airmen Of Note. Announcer for the series is Lee Shephard, an announcer at CBS' affiliate WTOP in Washington, D.C. where he had a large following as a WTOP-TV's mid-day weatherman. Many then current artists are heard on the programs, including June Christy and Carmen McRae.
