Members over the years included Pat Brady, Ken Dawson, Hugh Farr, Karl Farr, Curly Hogg, Lloyd Perryman, Bob Nolan, Roy Rogers, Glenn J. Spencer and Tim Spencer. This vocal group appeared in movies including The Old Homestead (1935), Fighting Coast Guard (1951), and all of the Roy Rogers movies of the 1930s and 1940s. They were featured on radio programs including the syndicated series, 10-2-4 Ranch Time sponsored by Doctor Pepper during the 1940s; Uncle Ezra's Radio Station for NBC (1940- 1941); The Roy Rogers Show for Mutual and NBC (1945-1946). The group was featured on television programs including The Roy Rogers Show for NBC (1951- 1957); The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Show for ABC (1962-1963). The group was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1980. Original members Roy Rogers, Bob Nolan, Tim Spencer, Lloyd Perryman, Hugh Farr and Karl Farr were inducted into the Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in 1995.
