Rhonda, have you seen her in the movies she made in the mid-30s with Leslie Howard--'Of Human Bondage', for instance, and 'Petrified Forest'? She might not have been conventionally beautiful, but she was beautiful, nonetheless. And how she and Don Ameche sell this script-- that in the hands of lesser actors might seem sentimental-- is remarkable. Truly touching and sweet--a great piece of acting.

OMG I just Googled my paternal grandmother, Hoan Austin, and ‘radio plays’ and found this! (Haven’t listened to it yet!) I have all he original scripts for this and many other radio lays she wrote: need to find out if there is an appropriate archive I should leave them to - any suggestions?)
