The master of the house is about to leave for the war in South Africa. The usual British stiff upper lip attitude prevails as the clock chimes midnight and the new century begins but the joy of the moment soon dims and is replaced by sadness as the master goes off to war and the bands play “soldiers of the Queen”. Ed Hunter the deputy sheriff in Richmond Virginia arrived in Dodge to arrest two men who were wanted for murder in Virginia. The names of the men were not familiar but a photo of one of the men, although taken seventeen years ago was an extremely good resemblance of a very good friend of Matt Dillon’s. |
