Things are a little quiet in Dodge so Chester goes to see an old friend of his who is a mess sergeant in the army and is stationed nearby. Meanwhile Jerry Pitcher comes looking for the Doc saying his father is very ill but the Marshall is suspicious, as he knows that Ben Pitcher and his wife hate doctors and one time threatened to kill the Doc if he got anywhere near him after Ben had been involved in a knife fight. Matt decides to ride to the Pitcher’s with Doc. |
