Plot | : | + The program is delayed for a news bulletin from Korea read by Robert Pierrepoint. Harry Pope is sure there are Indians sneaking around his farm at night. After shooting an "Indian," it turns out to have been a cowboy trying to get him to leave his land. The script was used again on the program of August 25, 1957 and on the Gunsmoke television series on November 29, 1958. The system cue has been deleted. Harry Pope’s wife had died four months ago and he had moved from Boston out to Dodge and built himself a little house out on the prairie. Now he told Chester that he was scared to death of the Indians in the area but Marshal Matt Dillon advised him that it was most likely not Indians that he could hear hollering and hooting. |
