Callahan story of wigwam fires, council teepees, tracking, trading, nomadic travel and exciting adventure; teaching the Lone Indian in his daring search for the magic arrow of the Omahas." "Real Indians appear on every broadcast." Mr. Callahan (as "The Old Trapper") tells the story of Colonel Lee and the day he met two possibly hostile Indians. It's all narrative, sound effects and recorded music, no acting. He also tells the story of the Chillington Massacre near Denver. Strangely enough, no mention is made of Luke Berry after the start of the story. Also, the only voice heard after the announcer's introduction is Robert Callahan's. No Indians, real or not, are audible. The story does end with the "Old Trapper" reciting an Indian prayer. |
