Most of them were honest and worked hard at their claims but criminals were drawn to the gold fields as well and the honest prospector found it hard to protect their property. It was in the gold country that the masked rider of the plains did some of his greatest work in the cause of justice and in time he brought law and order to the lawless frontier. As the story opens a small wiry old man is urging his stubborn pack mule down the trail toward Danville… |
