Title | : | the lone ranger (0807) night stage to dalton |
Air Date | : | 03.30.1938 ( March 30, 1938) |
Plot | : | +Program #807/32. Syndicated. "Mack," "(Black) Mike". Music fill for local commercial insert. Two badguys plan to rob the night stage from Paso Doble to Dalton, by switching the signs to lead the coach into a bed of quicksand. Tonto's horse is called "White Feller," not "Scout." The Cisco Kid was a juvenile western adventure. In many ways it was the radio show equivalent to the western B-movies of the time, complete with what sound distinctly like coconuts for horses hooves and wonderfully cheesy Mexican accents – “Oh, Ceesco, perhaps they will keel heem”. The show follows the on-going adventures of the Cisco Kid and Pancho, his loyal companion. Many of the stories follow a predictable theme, usually involve a good fight, and end up with Cisco getting the girl, or at least a kiss for his troubles. + When Linda arrives home with her friends making a rabble of a noise an argument ensues with her husband accusing her and her friends of behaving like a pack of yowling, screaming ally cats and he announces he's through with her. Then she cruelly informs him that she only married him for his money. He accuses her of being a cat a big white heatless cat, with unexpected consequences... In the first scene of our Lone Ranger drama we see two horsemen racing their mounts over a backcountry trail just North of the Rio Grande and East of El Paso. Weather-beaten and disreputable they carry the stamp of outlaws on their hard features... |
