But the officers and youngmen were untrained in frontier warfare and their task might have proved too much for them if it had not been for the masked rider of the plains. It was his great strength and courage, his daring and resourcefulness, his knowledge of the country that blazed the trail for justice and finally made possible the winning of the west. |
