Earl Graser (who played the part of the Lone Ranger) had been killed in an auto crash the day previously. Brace Beemer (who was then an announcer on the program) croaks only a few words as the Ranger at the beginning of the program. Mustang Mag tells Tonto "The Lone Ranger's going to ride again!" + Tonto, carried by his horse Scout, headed into territory that was familiar to him. He watched the distant hills that sheltered the ranch of his old friend Mustang Mag. Tonto rode alone - he was hoping to find word of his masked friend at Mags. But as he drew near he saw three smoke signals rising from Mustang Mags ranch - that could only mean one thing - trouble. |
