Through mid 1943, the main agency prosecuting the War in the Pacific was the US Navy, but overall more attention was being focused on America’s Europe First policy. Even though the Navy certainly did not have an “Image Problem”, they were more than happy to cooperate with the Special Events Department at NBC to create the four part Battle Stations series, covering the Battle of the Atlantic and introducing Naval Air Warfare.
