September 21, 1939 proved to be a momentous and historical day for old time radio. Radio Station WJSV in Washington D.C. transcribed an entire day's worth of broadcasts the same month Germany invaded Poland. It offered listeners across the nation a glimpse behind the scenes of their favorite network station. Thousand miles away, political unrest was brewing in Europe as Heydrich formalized the issuance of several Nazi policies and decrees on the same day that Complete Broadcast Day (September 21, 1939) was aired.
